McLaren 675LT 'Longtail"
More performance, less weight and better driver engagement is what the most track-
focused, yet road legal McLaren Super Series car is.

With 100kg (200lbs) in weight savings over the 650s and a power to weight ratio of
4.07 lbs/hp, the 675LT can sprint to 60 mph in 2.9 sec, to 120 mph in 7.9 sec on to a
top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h).

The car has been aerodynamically optimized with an extended carbon fiber front
splitter, extended door blades and the active “Longtail” Airbrake that is 50 percent
bigger than the one on the 650s but lighter. The car weights only 1230kg (2712 lbs.)

Over 50 percent of the parts in the 3.8-liter V8 have been changed for increased
power and torque.  Upgraded turbos, changes in the cylinder heads, exhaust
manifolds, camshafts and lightweight connecting rods along with a faster flowing fuel
pump increase the engine output to 675PS (666 hp) – about 16 hp more the 650s.

The 675LT it’s the spiritual successor of the iconic F1 GTR ‘Longtail' embodying key
attributes of the ‘Longtail’ philosophy:  light weight, optimized aerodynamics,
increased power, track-focused dynamics and driver engagement. Its official debut
will be at the Geneva Motor Show on March 3, 2015.
