All-New Ford Focus RS
Better than ever and coming to America!
Feb 4, 2015
Ford promised last month at the North American International Auto
Show that they would bring 12 new performance vehicles by 2020,
starting with the ford GT, Shelby GT350R and the 2016 F-150
Raptor.  The new addition to this performance line up is the all-new
Focus RS.  This will be the most powerful Ford Focus ever and this
time is coming to America!

The new hot hatch is a performance road car with a 2.3-liter
EcoBoost four-cylinder engine capable of more than 315
horsepower.  The Focus RS debuts Ford's Performance All-Wheel
Drive with Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control delivering new levels of
handling performance, traction, agility and driver enjoyment.  Ford
says the RS is capable of lateral acceleration exceeding 1 g. “A
maximum of 70 percent of the drive torque can be diverted to the
rear axle. Up to 100 percent of available torque at the rear axle can
be sent to each rear wheel”.

The RS comes equipped with high-performance 235/35R19 Michelin
super Sport tires that were developed jointly by Ford and Michelin for
the RS. Optional tires for those hardcore track enthusiasts are Pilot
Sport Cup 2 tires.

The 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine is a heavily upgraded version of the
one found in the all-new Mustang. Projected power figures will
exceed 315 horsepower. The Focus RS will be available only in a six-
speed manual with a short throw shift lever optimized for the
enthusiast driver.
